Thread: What is Okuma's COLD WATER REEL?

  1. #1

Default What is Okuma's COLD WATER REEL?

One Of The Most Popular Boat Reels For The PNW & The Great Lakes!

This is a reel that is well known for the Northern United States both fresh & salt water. In the PNW it is used for Salmon to Lingcod & Sturgeon. The Great Lakes Trout to Catfish. In the tropics it can be used for trolling the inner ledges for Jacks to Tunas & Wahoo. Canoe & Kayaks can use these reels as well. Shore casters too (can use a yak to a drone to get your line out).

They're fairly priced. Some have the line counters while others don't. The counters have a protective film on the screen so in cold conditions you can still read the counter w/no condensation. My larger units hold a lot of line (i use mono).
