The 2pc offset 70/30 configuration allows a "catapulting" affect when casted. I also love the double locking reel seat! This was made for power casting from shore for "big boys". The MH 9'6" rated for 2-6oz i use for plugging. At $135 it's way cheaper than a comparable quality plugging rod. The only drawback is the length in regards to the 70/30 split. That means for shops to carry this rod that receives shipments by air may only offer units up to 11'. In Hawaii can still get the 12' as shipments are mostly by sea.
