This Cradle Net was the result of a project by Addicted & Mustad to help minimize damage to catching delicate species of fish for the angler. Every facet of this Cradle was to minimize possible damage to the fish while supplying a continuous oxygen supply & to restrict excess body movement of the fish so it can be measured before release. This allows safe de-hooking of the fish by restricting movement.This will also minimize any accidental hooking of the angler as well by restricting the head movements of the fish.
Fishes such as steelheads, salmon, trout, reds, drums & most significantly bonefish will benefit from being release back faster & with less damage. For those casting the flats for Bones the framework was constructed to float making this a reality. For shore casters you can attach a line to the frame to safely work on your catch as well. Be sure to use a line that floats and a small light clip to limit the weight. As a bonus a pair of metal rings were added to the top middle frame to use with a fish scale. Just weigh the scale first to zero out the actual weight of your catch (water will drip off in seconds, just wiggle it slightly ).
