Default 2/28 Lake closed for boat launching

Got a call from a lake employee telling me they had closed to all boat launches. I'll keep checking with them to see when they'll reopen. It's so low that they are planting more fish habitat. When I was there a week or so ago, it was down at least 10 feet, and judging by the pictures the employee sent me, it's down another 5 feet at least.

Thursday Feb 2nd I took a motorcycle ride out to the lake to see what was up. Water is still super low, but they did stock trout so a fair number of shore fishermen there. The ranger I spoke with just said hopefully next week.

Hopefully this won't affect the spawn this year.
I've heard from a couple of Striper guys that recent catches of Stripers were full of Blue Gill. With the low water, there's nowhere for them to hide. Their hiding places, the reeds, are all out of the water.
This could put a big hurt on the Blue Gill fishing for some time.

They lake is open and the water is coming up.
I fished yesterday for Stripers and LMB and didn't get a bite.
