Trout stocking alert!!! (Dec 19-22 2022)

It looks like because of Christmas vacation the powers at be have stocked many of our local lakes and ponds with trout! Their is 2 different groups that are stocking trout this week. The Department of Fish and Game and the Orange County Regional parks. I'll list them separately and surprising their is some over laps, where some ponds are being stocked by both groups.

Orange County Regional parks stockings.

1. Ralph B. Clark park

2. Carbon Canyon

3. Yorba Linda Regional park

4. Miles Square

5. Laguna Niguel Regional park

Department of Fish and Game stockings by County. I'm only going to do LA and Orange County stockings of the ponds. I'm going to leave out the big lakes like Castaic.

Tips to catch these pond trout.

1. Power bait any color

2. Mini jigs

3. Small casting lures

Kastmasters, Super Dupers, and Panther Martins are all good choices.

I'll be in the Pico Rivera area tomorrow at a lake I haven't been to since I was a kid... Legg lakes.
It's the north lake that I'll be working.
Gonna soak some power bait on one, and float a marshmallow and night crawler on the other.
