    Default Catalina Island 3/27 Report

We head out to Catalina Island on Sunday morning. We launched out of MDR at 6 am. We hoped to swing by the Bait Dock but they were dry. Tried to make bait for a while and struck out so we decided to head over to the island with frozen squid n’ shrimp. Swells were long and took about 1 hr 10 min to reach the west end. The water was 61.2 and clean. We decided to troll the front side hoping to run into some Bonito, so we started at the West end and headed down. Saw a lot of bird activity starting from Arrow Pt and on. Ran into them after Long Pt and had a blast. Didn’t end up fishing anything else. Left the Island by 1pm.

Great Picture! Nothing more beautiful than fishing close to Catalina and the pretty blue water. Thanks for posting. It is appreciated.
