Bolsa Chica 8/15

Went surf fishing with a buddy at Bolsa Chica. We are still trying to figure out how to surf fish, but decided to fish the incoming high tide at the channel instead. We fished the channel opening into the wetlands from the Northside. I ended up snagging a Corbina in the 2.5 hours we were fishing there. We pulled it in unhooked it and kept it, because it looked like it would died if we released it. First time catching a corbina and it was fat, atleast 20+ inches. It gave a good fight too, especially with the currents/waves. We then left home afterwards.

Heads up: Do not go past the bridge/pch or you will get a ticket and have your fishing license ready. There was a cop that walked up on us within 15 mins, but she was cool. Showed her our licenses and she just carried on.

Pretty sure it was police. Her vest or shirt had police on the back and front.
