Default HCS Custom Surf Rod Review! 7 Months Latter,,,

    Okuma's HCS Custom 13'3" & 14'2" Surf Rods!

It's been 7 months after these rods were released during the PANDEMIC last year. These are great multi-species surf rods that has handled Bonefish to Stingrays. Comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. That means if a part breaks or wears down from usage it'll be fixed or replaced for free. You just have to mail it back (most major companies mirror this).

For myself? I love using these rods with pride. I use spinners to conventionals on them & they cast my baits out far. The Fuji Low Rider Guides enable this rod to accept both types of reels. Here are the stats-

Fast and responsive 30-ton carbon surf rod blanks

3-pcs blank configuration for easy transportation

Custom carbon fiber pipe with Fuji reel seat hoods

Fuji 3-legged, deep pressed Low Rider guide frames

Fuji’s Alconite inserts for hardness and abrasion resistance

Counter balancing weight system in rear butt cap

Non slip shrink tube grips above and below reel seat

Ergonomic EVA tapered rear grip for leverage while casting

HCS Custom Surf rods are backed by a limited lifetime warranty

For myself when i use a spinner i use the New Cedros Spinning Reel or the Coronado CDX Baitfeeder. When i use a conventional it's the Tesoro Star Drags. All just personal preference.
