spots of plankton bloom are slowing things down along the beach
lots of bait ,mostly pinner chovies will help increase the bite as the water clears up
squid are still floating offshore along with red crab

yellowtail are getting more active as the water warms, but so far not to much sea bass action south of the channel islands
looks like it will be a slow season for the ghosts

a few nice halibut are being caught on the drift west newport and the river jetties see to be holding fish in the 20 to 60ft area's

clemente will be open all weekend with no closer's and the weather will be ok so there should be a crowd out there
looking for limits of rock fish
good bass fishing and a jack or two if your lucky

still blue fin outside the cortez
a few landings are out searching on day and a half cattle boats

if they get bit you'll see more private boats hitting the highs spots



so if you can get out there and bob around
