    Default more mad rumors

just spent the last hour talking to my pal up the street
he fish's lobsters and spotfin prawns and spends 4 months the winter honking down on the cortez
for the past 2 weeks he said there has been nice spots of 20-30lb bluefins moving through

    mixed in are
5 to 20lb albies this is on the lower end out to the northeast bank

and the good/bad news is he has been pulling humbolt squid up in his prawn traps
and that they should be showing locally soon to spawn
you party boat guys should get your raingear out and ready

i'll be getting more info as soon as rockfish season reopens and boats have more options on targets

you want to have all the fun you can get for 300 gallons of diesel

In simple terms are you saying there is a chance for humbolt squid in Southern Calif and maybe bluefin and albacore on day and half day boats out of San Diego.

    Default

    the squid are closer
    that's not a maybe
the market[yes that's their name] squid are right on the beach

and the humbolts are showing up on the front side of Catalina
they are mostly deep 100-150 fathoms
the red crab are floating in the channel and the humbolts love to eat them and everything else

i agree no stocking out there it's always hit and miss

the fish are for real and as soon as rockfishng opens up
the cattle boats will be out there weather permitting an you'll see dock counts telling the tale

    102 miles from dana point

me i'm getting ready for mag bay and a 60lb reballo
