Thread: croaker time

  1. #1

    Default croaker time

the next 3 or 4 days should have the local white sea bass on their first seasonal bite
there will grunion on the spawn and out side there are squid
    so it could be good

seen a couple that where caught yesterday and today
    both nice fish
one was taken off of west newport 30+lbs and the other one was 50+ just outside of the north end of 3 arch bay

both in shallow water 40 to 60 ft

gave it 3 nights off of three arch

metered a lot of fish but only got a couple of barely legals that we tossed back

the best we had to toss them was herring and they weren't interested

the hot ticket has been the backside of ratalina with live squid lots of them floating over there
big ones too foot longers plus

early sunrise or night time puffing off the scout camp has been productive enough for private boats
