    Default Surf Fishing advice

Looking to get into surf fishing as i have only ever fished piers and lakes. What Licenses do I need to get? and what gear? what seasons cuz i heard those are important? and most importantly where can i go? I am completely new to this, but after doing some research, looks like surfperch are the fish to go

    Default

    Regular Fishing License
    Ocean stamp

    Waders for the colder months

Start off simple with the perch but the sky is the limit.

What is great about the SW is you never quite know what is gonna grab your bait or lure so the anticipation is great.

Read Here: Too bad Dana's pics are gone but his knowledge is spot on ..... http://fishingnetwork.net/forum4/sho...t=Surf+fishing

And one more great read : http://fishingnetwork.net/forum4/sho...ishing+halibut Marc was one of the best back in the day.

Good Luck and be safe. Never turn your back to Poseidon. The surf can be very unforgiving.
