    What about the hot dogs?

    same

    once in the distant past

costco had a contract with hebrew national to provide all the food court dogs

costco tried to squeeze the price down ,hebrew said no so costco purchased a hot dog factory and used hebrew's recipe to cloned their own dogs

    so to answer your question
    yes they are the same

    First, some clarification.

Up until 2008, the hot dogs being served at the Costco food court were standard-issue Hebrew National all-beef, kosher hot dogs. Around that time though, the supply of those kosher hot dogs began to dwindle, and costs began to rise. That's when Costco decided to step up its hot dog game even further, and start throwing some of their annual operating budget at moving their hot dog manufacturing operations in-house.

According to the company's explanation in their own magazine, the Kirkland brand hot dogs you'll get at a Costco food court today are "10 percent heavier and longer than the old," and they're a better quality hot dog.

In order to keep up with demand, Costco constructed a dedicated hot dog manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, and when that wasn't enough, later added a second facility in Chicago. That oughta be enough to keep the sausages coming for a long, long time.

So they do not follow the Hebrew National recipe, which is probably secret and/or patent-protected.

Also, unlike Hebrew National's, Costco's hot dogs are not Kosher.

Back to your question: you CAN purchase the food court hot dog via the Costco Business Center (not sure about in-store though):

not only did kirkland reverse engineer the SPECIFIC ingredients and spices but they also hired former hebrew nation management to run the operation at their new factory

kirkland looses about 28 cents a dog and the duplicity of polish dogs which where discontinued only increased manufacturing expense

their biggest looser that they sell is their roasted chickens

but as mentioned a leader item to bring in members more than pays for the cost

    same dog less the rabbi's

    same spices
exact blend of meat ground ,less inspection of their meat, though no hasidic law to follow

exactly the same ingredients and the same proportions

same upper management kirkland cherry picked to set up their factory at the time

that's the only reason no more polish dog's
one blend was cheaper than two to produce at a loss

maybe you expect kirkland pr to come out and say they produce an inferior product

or believe the validity of their blind taste test

the binders ,preservative's ,and filler and artificial ingredient's they mention some dogs have in them

were never found in hebrew national's

    pure filler pr spin
