    Default Fishing options this year?

Offshore ocean fishing season is ending and apparently all the trout at the hatcheries got the Rona. WTF am I supposed to fish for the next 4 months?

Lakes still do private stocks... Lake Hemet just stocked 3500 lbs. of trout. And there's always SARL (Santa Ana River Lakes) whom is entirely a private lake and is private stocked every Thursday. Also the big bear bite is hot, but don't take anything. They have not stocked and the fishing's there's in fragile condition.
    Good Luck!

    head east
    cottonwood cove is on fire
20lb stripers [salted cured bait will kill them] sunrise, an sunset bite or try the night drift below the dam either side az or cal
big cats and monster trout same for catherines landing

also trout are being dumped into the walker river if you want to go high

3 hours from the beach ,closer than the sierra's and if your a cat fish guy you can hit the canals on the way out

if you can't tuff it out then settle for mile square park

For the catfish or the stripers... How about Silverwood?

I use to be an 100% Salt guy for years. 20 years ago I made the switch to fresh water and it's soooo much cheaper! I fish every week every month and I don't expect to have very many fish less weeks! I would say now and the next 5 months are going to be some of the most exciting 5 months of the year! (as long of the rains don't screw things up very bad) Grab a W.O.N. and read between the lines or make some new fishing friends. Their is plenty of opportunity's out there if you are clever!

how much cheaper is it than surf fishing
and unless you go to a stocked lake
you should have as much or more action with the unknown factor swimming around in the surf
plenty of stripped bass ,always the chance for a halibut and almost every fish caught being bigger than your local freshwater experience

Yea and if you go to a stocked lake, There's really not much variety. I usually do freshwater because it closer, not because of the cost.
