How I Maintain My Reels Between Full Services!
Trying not to take apart my reels as it's time consuming. Since all my equipment is new (within 2yr) i just have to maintain my lubing. During the "stay-at-home" Pandemic orders i re-spooled & re-greased all my reels. Now if you bought any reels "used" expect to put in more maintenance time into your gear.
In this video i'm lubing my Okuma Tesoro12 Star-Drag Conventional Reel. It casts easy & is close to my Torium (though it can cast farther & easier then my Toriums). I've let some of my friends try casting this reel like Dusten & Joshua. They were amazed at how easily it cast, the distance they got & how light it was.
Just remember to occasionally lube your reels when you have the time. It'll lessen those time consuming & costly full maintenance drop-offs.
