Default Long Beach Harbor Bass Fishing

    Community,

I recently purchased a small 17ft center console to take the family(small family) out fishing. I’ve been trouble landing bass or other fish in the harbor. Can anyone assist me in what I should be using in terms of bait or lures to have more success? Any particular area I should try to fish to be more successful? Time of day that I would be most successful early AM or late evening? All I have been catching is small fish and Macrel. I have been targeting the inner Long Beach islands for the most part.

If someone suggests swim baits can I get advice on how to use them?

Any assistant here would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to stay within the Breakwall or other harbors as I have small children.

    Thank you all in advance!

next fish the tide swings and fish in the shade...next to boats or docks.

you can also troll the swim bait at a slow speed.

    good luck
