I figured out how to fish the quick sand at Irvine Lake!

After going last week and got totally taken by surprise by the quick sand. I came back Oct 2 to actually try to land some fish! Well I did and by accident figured out how to net a 50 pound catfish through the quick sand. (I didn't catch any 50 pounders but I did catch some stocker size catfish) They the stockers bite well on Shrimp and Sardines. With heavy line you can just drag them through the mud. (problem solved) But what happens if you get a really big one and you couldn't just drag it through the mud. (what do you do?) You could stack rocks together and made a rock bridge to the edge of the lake. Or you can crawl on your hands and knees and you won't sink in the mud! Remember this is a 50 pound Catfish and if your not willing to get a little dirty to land one. You are not worthy! Lol
