Restricted equipment includes; private boats, canoes, kayaks, float tubes, trolling motors, fish finders, anchors, and other equipment that contacts the water
The big news from the past week was Jonathan Hanson’s 54.80# Blue Catfish that broke the existing lake record. The enormous catfish was caught Sunday using cut-bonita at the West Buoy Line. Mr. Hanson released his catch back into the lake. Friday’s catfish plant has stirred up the action and fishing is good from Bass Point to the West Buoys. We have recently expanded our bait options to include catfish bait. We now offer frozen; chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies. Each month Whopper Contest winners in four categories are awarded a free fishing and boating permit. For information on the contest or fishing conditions, please contact the Ranger Station at (760) 839-4346.
