    Default bow winch

I need to replace my bow winch, the original has 2 hooks sewn into the strap. I have looked on amazon for a replacement winch and strap. I find many to chose from but none of them come with the main hook to the boat and a second "Safety hook" to the trailer. Do I need this second "Safety hook?

Only if you want your boat to stay on the trailer if the main one fails.

You need to replace the winch or just the strap?

My ski boat does not have an extra hook on the strap and weighs about 3,000 lbs.

Need winch and strap. Received my new winch from Fulton, attachment of strap looks very easy so I ordered the only double hook strap so that I will have confidence when towing my boat. I am so impressed with the winch that I bought the 2 transom ratcheting straps and the trailer jack. Hope Fulton doesn't let me down. After replacing all these items I'm hoping to be free from break down for several years!
