    Default 8/27 slooooow

When I launched at 6:10 am I was the only boat on the ramp. I found out why as the day went on. Just really slow out there. Some slow striper action on livers but not much. Largemouth are really finicky too. All in all just one of those days where I was just happy to be out of the house and on the water. Oh, the water level is rising slowly with pretty good clarity and high 70's temp. C'mon Fall!

I was out there last week Wednesday I believe. Same story here too. Didn’t get on the water till 1:30. Didn’t meter them till around 4-5 o’clock. Found them thick at the east end. We trolled flies, threw some spoons, jerkbait, even tried some chicken liver and was not even interested. We were either two weeks too early or two weeks too late. Lol

Stripers were doing this exact thing in early July. Grouping up and puddling on the surface but not chasing bait. Did that for a couple weeks then one day they turned on. Just have to keep at it and be there when they do decide to crash bait.
