    Default 6-26-19 @ The Office!

    I haven’t been up to the lake for quite some
    Time.drove up and was expecting a full lake
    But that was not the case.Lake has dropped
    Apparently 20ft in the last three weeks was told,
    Reasoner cove was closed and starting to dry up
    To launch,anyways lake is up and looking good!!
    Tough at first with greenish water and lake
    Dropping, took an hour or so to find some willing
    Fish,,,meeterd fish everywhere!! Looks like there
    Is A funk going on..fished hard and did good!!!!!!

    Fished back in Diablo cove drifting for big bass
    And some crappie ‘10ft is the depth right now with
    Out getting hung up,,, 2-5 pound bass -3-4 pound
    Bass and some crappie ———

    Boat fishing today.....

    Thanks for the Piru update. Haven't been up there in over 10 years and it's sad to see the lake levels down so low. Even after the above average winter rains in two of the last three years they cannot keep the water levels up in that lake. Looks like they drain more than comes in and that's sad. I used to fish for bass in Reasoner in the brush areas opposite of the launch ramp and I see in your pics it's now high and dry. Still a great lake to fish, though they're still not planting trout because of the lawsuit by the Center for Biological Diversity and the Pacific Rivers Foundation that forced the DFW to address the environmental consequences of its statewide hatchery system. So, without regular trout plants and catching holdover trout at the buoy line along the dam, I will not go up that way until plants resume.
