[QUOTE=etucker1959;798516]I thought you might respond that way! In other words your employer pays for your Health Insurance and you haven't had any major Health issues in your family..../QUOTE]

    Nope

    I am the employer.

I was hoping that you wouldn't jump to conclusions or assumptions like that but instead discuss facts rather than feelings.

To continue covering the employees (who are important to me), Health Insurance expense has doubled and continues each year to go up significantly due to Obama Care. Nothing has changed/improved just the costs.

It might feel good that now 30 million are covered (who weren't before, etc.) especially if there's no skin off one's teeth to see that happen but -----

1.) Employers who care about their employees get stuck with subsidizing (with all the consequences that huge increases in operating costs entail)

2.) the national debt increases since the government hasn't seen fit to fund Obama care subsides through personal income taxes increases. So every individual doesn't feel the "bite" of Obama care's costs (unless you are an employer)

That reminds me of the story of an natural disaster hitting somewhere and 1,000 people must be evacuated by water. Everyone is quietly standing in line waiting their turn to board. You being about the 500 person in line makes you a little anxious. Once you are on board, "you breath a sigh of relief!" After a short period of time, you start yelling at everyone that they should pull up the ladder now and leave because you are already on the boat! lol
We have to pay more for the people that cannot. Got it. Spread the wealth. Socialized medicine. We pay more who cannot afford. Is medical insurance a right? Or should you have to work harder for everyone else to have it too?

    What things did I get?

    Higher costs??

Any thing else besides the privilege to subsidize others and the good feelings I get that my dollars get to pay for others insurance so they don't have to?

And I get this good feeling without any choice?

I guess your right -- I did get some things.

Here is an analysis of the effect of Obamacare by Time Magazine. Overall, it appears to be assessed as positive. But what most nations have works a lot better.

Perhaps anchor3n1 was onto one thing. Taxes on the wealthy ought to be raised in order to pay for healthcare and keep the burden off employers. But look at what Congress did under Republican control; they lowered taxes on the rich i.e. themselves.

Why should the rich have to pay for the poor? Socialism. Ok. Got it.

You keep saying the wealthy, well the wealthy based on Obamacare were the people firmly in the middle class who ended up paying more and still having deductibles through the roof so that even though they paid a higher premium still got less coverage than the free riders who got subsidized. Yep, creating class warfare between the low wage earners and middle class while using the fake news media to suggest that this was a a fight between the top 1% and the poor. Conflating the issues and you and Lefty are too blind to see it because you take MSNBC and Time Magazine as gospel! LOL
