I went to Havasu last weekend and fished Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday the weather was too good and fishing was properly slow for us. We worked the West Basin shore to starting out near the casino and worked south to about a mile south of the island. We picked at a few rats and moved around some ending up on the North East shore and caught a couple of keepers on Alive Shad and a frog worked in close to heavy cover. Saturday was more productive as we moved up river and fished coves. Using the usual suspects drop shot and senkos for the most part caught more keepers. At one point we found a active bite where we caught several fish until the wind blew to strongly to hold our position. No fish over three pounds were caught, but it was a good time. The wind forced us back down to the lake on a rather bumpy ride. We picked at more keeper bass in sheltered coves and called it quits a little early as the wind was hampering our efforts. Sunday we fished close to Site 6 due to the wind and got a few fish and left around 11am. for home. Fishing was not wide open, but any time on the water beats sitting at home or staring at a phone.
