I braved the heat and took the yak to the lake this AM for a couple of hours. It's been awhile as it's been way to hot lately! Not much of a crowd today it looked like.

Not much of a bite today on the east end at least for me. I wound up catching 1 dink around 1.25lbs or so on a lipless. Had a couple of other bites but missed them on a ned rig.

The only other fish I saw caught was by another person fishing in a yak maybe 30-40yds away from me. I heard the commotion and turned just in time to watch it jump and splash around while he fought it and struggle to land it in his smaller landing net. It took him a couple tries to get it in the end. Nice fight and a nice looking 10.69lb specimen. I peddled over to take a closer look and used his phone to take some photos for him. He did say he caught one other fish earlier. Didn't think to snap a photo on my phone.
