    Nice video,that was a whole lotta bluegill for sure,very cool,although you should have hooked and handed a few off to your girlfriend,she looked a little lonely in the background! Lol,take care bro,thanks!

    It looks like he's using small trout/crappie jig.

    Not sure how old your boy is or how experienced he's at fishing but the easiest thing is to get some mealworms/earthworms to set him up with a simple bobber setup.

    Bluegills love mealworms, my daughter and I must've caught 30 of them yesterday within a couple of hours.
    We were at the upper lake, but this works well at the lagoon too.
