Here is the argument in a Nut shell about should the government be in the Health insurance business? Is Health Care a right or a privilege? Republicans believe it is a privilege bestowed to workers who have jobs and their employers should pay for it. (anyone else who doesn't have an employer to pay for Health insurance is just out of luck!) Now the rest of the Industrialized world (that means everybody else on the planet that's not a developing nation) believes in having some form of Universal Health Care to all it's citizens!! The United States stands alone in the belief that its a privilege only for workers!!!
I'll put it in a fishing scenario to help illustrate the point. The rest of the world is fishing for trout in Sierra cove at Irvine lake when the water is turned on. (they been biting real good there for along time) The United States comes along and say's, "we are going to fish by ourselves for trout in the Santiago Flats." At the end of the day, who do you think had the better stringers of fish and at which location? (Health Care Idea's) If I didn't know anything about the lake and I was going fishing the next day. I would take my boat to Sierra cove. Why might you ask? Because the collective consciousness of all those other people have probably already come up with the best idea! (Universal Health Care for all it's citizens) That's why I think the government (who is the only one who could do it anyway) should and needs to be in the Health Care business!
