Hope you all had a Very Spicey Easter!
Christians would only really wish each other 'Happy Easter' on Easter Day itself (Sunday). That's the day when according to the Bible, Jesus's tomb was found empty, and Jesus himself was raised to life again.
Good Friday marks the day when Jesus died -- it wouldn't be appropriate to send a Christian 'happy' wishes then: it's the most serious day in the church's year. And Easter Saturday's a day of waiting, of anticipation rather than happiness.
But in the general (non-religious) world, people also wish each other a 'happy Easter' rospher essays (or a 'happy' -- or 'merry' --'Christmas') and just mean 'have a good break over the public holiday'.
My favorite Holiday greetings is Season Greetings. Why because it covers without bias Christmas, Hanuka, Kwanzaa, New Years and the Winter Solstice!
