what size jg head

I was wondering what size jig head and hook size to use with a 3" Kalin Grub

Mainly going to throw these along the jetty for bass.

if you're fishing the jetties for bass, try using a 1/4 or 3/8 oz jighead with a size 1/0 or 2/0 hook. if you can find one that is weedless like a warbaits, or any weedless football style that will work out really well. the other option to use is a swinging jighead and rig it weedless as well.

If you can find them, try the Gary Yamamoto swim jigs. I've used these for stripers for years and they have yet to let me down. I use both 1/4 and 3/8 sizes and the hooks are Gama's. In addition, Big Hammer too. Good luck out there.
