    Wondering what the point is here, yeah he lied about how big the fish was, i thought that was normal. don't we all just roll our eyes and move on?

    If this came from Lower Castaic, it has to be 12.

    if you dont have a scale buy a vinyl tape measure cost like 2 dollars and measure its length(how long it is) and its girth(around the fattest spot of its body).
    largemouth bass simple formula for weight.
    WEIGHT = LENGTH x GIRTH(squared) / SHAPE FACTOR
    shape factor for largemouth bass is 1050
    so if caught one at 20 inch length and 15 inch girth
    WEIGHT= 20 x (15)(squared) / 1050
    WEIGHT= 20 x 225 / 1050
    WEIGHT= 4500 / 1050
    WEIGHT = 4.29 pounds
    this is just a fast estimate its not perfect.
    i have one of those tapes incase i catch the monster im after. or you can just yell out to other fisherman around you someone will prob have a scale. but you dont need to weigh all your fish watch others vids of their fish when they weigh them and it will help you guess better. or just buy a cheap scale though it will prob not weigh too accurately. or you can buy a higher end one and send it off to get it certified to know for sure.
