    Default 12.16.2017 Capistrano Beach

Got out to the sand around 10am with the out going tide. Met up with Chip and Andre and looks like the morning high tide did a number on the parking lot. Covered in cobble stone. The wind was kicking the entire time and the water was turbulent, even with a 5oz sputnik it would not hold long with the occasional random salad thrown in. I first foul hooked up with a small 32" batray followed by a pair of key chain leopards soon after setting up and then the bite died. Was good to find the ray in the area, haven't caught on in awhile and a change of pace from the leopards.

    Thanks for the report!

Sometimes you just go regardless of the weather, but I find that windfinder.com does a pretty good job of letting me know when it's going to be blown out.
