Headed out to Long Beach this morning to try and catch a legal sized Hali. Got to the first spot around 6. It was a gloomy morning sunrise was around 6:30. Threw the LC 115 Surf Pointer for a little bit with no bites. Switched to Berkley Gulp Mullet in white, drop shot rig and caught a short Hali. Didn't have a measuring tape but i would say it was about 14 inches. Fished another 20 minutes with no bites so decided to go to another spot at the Jetty. Threw the drop shot first this time with no bites. Switched to LC and hooked up on a spottie that was about 13" on the 2nd cast. stayed another 15 minutes and called it a day. 2 fishes in about 2 hours. Still hunting for that legal sized Hali.
