    Looks to be a green sunfish. Purty.

    Here's a Bluegill/Green Sunfish hybrid.. I think what you have there is just a dark Green Sunfish.

    Ole Green Sunfish, or as we incorrectly called them as kids, "Rock Bass." We used to find them inside the 'caves' that the cracked concrete created alongside the shoreline at city parks.
