Default Two Day Rockfishing Morro Bay

    Sup Fellas,

Day 1: Took the boat up north to the domes. Had a good day maybe 50 fish over the boat but nothing of any size, a couple nice reds but the lings weer nowhere to be found. Wind was blowing maybe 10 knots consistently all day with a 2-4 ft swell.

Day 2: Ran south to spooners cove. Made our first drift from 220 -200 ft of water and just put the hammer on them. We had 15 nice rock fish and a keeper ling by 10 am. Bite was solid all day. Water was 5 degrees warmer which could have been the difference.

Overall great trip, fish were biting on purple jigs, most consistent bite was on a shimano free fall butterfly jig and the squid rig..
