I went to a gun show less than a year ago...

they had a bubba blade for $10.00 and some change.

close out, the sales guy said...

It had a unique shaped blade...

    i almost bought it

but decided to look at the bubba website

    phone check...

they didn't make that blade shape

good thing i didn't buy it

it's hard to find a bubba blade for

    less than $50 ?

    PP for $10...

    that's a huge discount

what's the shelf life of braid?

longer than when you use it for fishing i'm pretty sure

how can it be so cheap?

Seems to be a pretty big chain store back east. I doubt it's fake pp. Reviews on the store looks legit. I'm not worried about it. I picked up a couple boxes from Sport Chalet for about the same price when they were closing.

The last great deal that dkinla posted, gander mountain, declared bankruptcy a week later. Maybe something similar is going on with Academy. They'll all be out of business soon. Sports Chalet, Sports Authority, Gander Mountain, who's next?

No, Academy stores are legit.. Big box stores like Sports Authority/Sport Chalet before they went under. I bought gear from them in their stores before when I used to live in TX for a year.

Lol, I think you misread my post dknla. I am in agreement with you that Academy is a "legit" store. That's the reason why I placed an order with them. I have family in South Carolina who shops there so I am familiar with the store. In fact, I've already received confirmation that my order has been processed and is being shipped via Fedex. Great score on these thanks to you! :)

Damn, looks like the only thing left in stock is the 300yd 10lb. Everything else that it $10 is only 150yd.
