Give it a few days, with the warming trend the south and east shore will be stacked with fish by the weekend. Throw moving stuff in the morning for the females, maybe buzzbaits super shallow for some aggressive males and switch to super light finesse stuff in the afternoon fishing 2 to 10 feet and your day should be better than good.

it depends on what I'm fishing but I like to throw fly-line plastics like stick baits (Senko), I make a torpedo worm that I fish the same way, I don't like drop shot because its slow and tedious but very effective when I fished tournaments I aways had one tied on. slit shot and shaky heads are also good techniques. Recently I have been throwing rats with success.
It depends on the weather, time of year, water temp etc.
