Default The Mussel Hook: FINALLY FOUND IT!!! GAME CHANGER!!!

Fresh mussels are the best bait for fishing!! I used to always see some guys grabbing fresh mussels off the pilings with a heavy hook but i was never able to find one online. BUT i finally found it on Ebay. Sort of expensive for $100 but it pays for itself after a few trips and I NEVER buy bait anymore. And I catch TONS of fish now...

They'll even fix it once for you if you cover shipping to them and back! Fish on guys!!

Cool that you got into some nice fish. That mussel gaff/hook is awesome. I remember about 15 years ago fishing belmont pier and someone had a very fancy stainless steel mussel hook. He loaded up with mussels and was on fire catching croakers.

By the way, how would one know which pier allows or doesn't allow taking of mussels of the pilings?

    Thanks.

fyi alot of places have ordinances against doing that. It also damages the habitat and results in fewer fish visiting the pilings.

    Holy Crap!
Thanks Bob. I don't think I'll be eating any of those anytime soon. Quarantine or not. Don't wanna die from eating something
