Took off around 11 PM on Thursday night. Got into Lone Pine and had an early breakfast. We had decided to fish the sand trap and wait for my hunting buddies to arrive. The sand trap was fairly productive. Had to wait until the sun came up before the fish went on the chew. C&R many fish. Mostly power worms and PB
Headed up the creek to some of my hotspots, I was playing guide to 6 novice anglers. I put them on the fish, the couldnt seal the deal. Went up to Lone Pine campground. The creek was loaded with fish, just had lock jaw. I have has this happen several times on the creek. Not sure what causes this. I got tired of watching, so I grabbed my rod and proceeded to show them how to catch fish. ALL C&R
Nothing of size

Started at Intake II. I met up with my family and friends (another group of Novice anglers) Bite was steady for those tht could cast 50 feet. The others struggled> Took off and headed to Bishop South Fork. My first 2 spots were occupied. Hit spot 3. I tolf them how to catch the fish and got some much needed sleep (all 30 minutes) They couldnt catch these fish to they went back to camp to sleep. I nailed 15 fish on about 25 minutes and decided I was bored and needed to get some food from camp.
Fished around camp, Four Jefferys and picked off a few
Went up to Lake Sabrina for afternoon bite. First 4 casts resulted in fish (all on PB) Hung around until 330 PM and decided I would head home
weather was AWESOME
Fishing was OK: THe average fish was around 8". very small.
Not sure why the fish were so much smaller this year. I wonder if anyone else noticed this.
Hi light of the trip was seeing the herd of ELK just South of Big Pine on the way home.
