Default Lit Cleo & Red Devil

Went to Little Lake in Hemet today. Formerly
know as Angler Lake in its glory days, which
use to be one of the best places to fish for trout in So Cal.

One bad thing about lake is price, its 22 dollars for me
to fish, and 42 for me and my son to fish. Not to bad for me
but sucks if I take my son.

What is great is you can park your car next to the water.
The lake is never that crowded, and it is one of
the most relaxing places to fish. The DFG have been
planting every two weeks with some Mt. Lassen here and
there. So the fishing has been really good. The fish bite
everything, mice tails are great, as is power bait, but
    spoons are really great.

The DFG planted on Weds, so I started the morning with a
Thomas Buoyant, which was on fire. I lost my first 4 hookups
when the trout leaped into the air and pulled the hook. I then
tighten up my drag and landed some. I then decided to switch lures
    and try Little Cleo.

I just bought Little Cleo, I saw it in an article as a great old school
lure. It took me awhile, I really had to work it, to finally land
a trout with it. I then put a Red Devil lure on, it was small, but it
was an original one, made of steel and had weight to it. It cast out
a long ways for the small size. It only took a minute to land a nice
    leaping fighting trout.
Then called an end to the day.

$22.00! I live up here in Hesperia (high desert) and the cost to fish around here goes up to about $20.00, maybe more now. If they stock the heck out of your spot and it is not covered with people I think the extra $2.00 is worth it. The lures you mentioned are good stuff and I am glad you got bit. Thank's for your post.

We are always here to give advice!!!! lol All kidding aside, "Sodapop" sold me on Little Lake. We will probably give it a try next week, provided it gets stocked. So "I" do take other peoples advice and "NOT" just give my opinion!!! lol

In working over the Math on good fishing opportunity's for the next 6 weeks. Everywhere that looks promising is a bit of a drive. If you want cheap and easy do the park thing. Ralph B. got double stocked last week with trout and some were 3-4 lbers. The nice things about park fishing, "if it doesn't work out," you didn't invest that much time, effort or money into it!!! (free advice) lol Besides some of the parks are kinda fun in their own rights for kids.
