Thread: Lake level going up…?

    Default Lake level going up…?

With all this rain, I'm wondering if the Lake Perris water level has come up. With those tall hills all around the lake, I'm sure there is a lot of runoff that empties into the lake. If they are still working on the back of the dam, they might be letting the water out as fast as it comes in. Hope not, but they probably are. Be nice to have it rise several feet for this coming spring.

I hope so too. It'll be sad to waste all this good water.

The lake will be 10-15+ ft higher very soon... run off or not..

That means tons of new cover for the fish.
If they can keep it up, it should be a record spawn this year.

Are they not keeping it low for the damn work anymore?

So Pete, to get it back to "full" level, how many feet does it have to rise?

Current max since 2006(?) is 1563'(25' below full) and its at 1548.74 now. So it can come up 14' which will just bring us back to levels we had from 2011 to early 2014 when it started to take the big dive.
The current low levels is due to drought not construction.

Local rain does very little to the lake level. The water shed is too small. The ring of hills around the lake keep all other water out.

So is there two ramps open again or are they still launching on one? I haven't been there in some time but high water may bring me back. Haha.

There is only one ramp open now. Hopefully they'll open the second with the influx of water.
