    Hey thanks DarkShadow for all that info and images. Just looking at the pics, none of the rods appear to have the the tiny tip that I'm talking about. I just took a close look at my Quantum ultralight rod and it has just about the same diameter as 25 lb test monofilament. It's tiny!

    I have an old G Loomis that is 6 feet, that I love...fast, and light, but strong. SJR 720 GL2 4-8 #
