Hit a few new spots this morning in the BU. I just bought this new monster of a bait, a Lucky Craft Sea Finger #193, 26.0 grams a 7-1/2 inch bait.
This bait cast a mile out with the extra weight and great weight transfer system. Following the idea of big bait = big fish was determined to stick with it the whole session even if it meant striking out.I was not disappointed :D
After a few different spots, I finally get a hit and I know whatever hits this sucker must be either a monster or a very ambitious little fish.
A couple of headshakes and few runs later I land my new PR Halibut 24.5 inches.
My family loves halibut and I don't keep fish very often so I bagged him for the family. Went home to grab lunch with my mother.
I could say today was a good day. 8)
