    Default Gun Owner Action Alert

Firearms Registration Expansion Bill Awaits Governor's Action

Contact Governor Jerry Brown TODAY and ask him to veto SB1332

The California Legislature recently sent one more anti-gun bill to Gov. Jerry Brown, Senate Bill 1332. Once again, gun control politicians in California have sent legislation to the governor that will do nothing to increase public safety, but that will turn law-abiding gun owners into unsuspecting criminals.

SB 1332, if signed, will require any firearm that is loaned to another person without having gone through an FFL to be registered with the California Department of Justice. Therefore, if a firearm owner wishes to lend his or her firearm to a friend or relative, he or she must register that firearm with CA DOJ. We know SB 1332 isn't about safety. SB 1332 is part of a larger scheme to eventually require all lawfully possessed firearms be registered with the government.

Please contact Gov. Brown immediately and respectfully urge him to VETO SB 1332. Contact information for Gov. Brown can be found below.

    Governor Jerry Brown
    c/o State Capitol, Suite 1173
    Sacramento, CA 95814

    Phone: (916) 445-2841

    Fax: (916) 558-3160

For those that do not know if you own a pistol that was purchased before 1990 or a shot gun or rifle that was purchased before 2015 it is not registered and only a DROS (dealer record of sale) is on record where you purchased the firearm, that is not registration. This isn't about safety. SB 1332 is part of a larger scheme to eventually require all lawfully possessed firearms be registered with the government.

You have to be a lawyer to just read the bill itself. Amazing

Here is the problem Theo. Our legislators passed this law on the sale of ammo that will require a background check with the Calif DOJ. And having said that how long do you think before the ammo check will be cross referenced to the firearm registration. So your pre registration firearm does not show up when you go to buy ammo. Are you a straw buyer for someone that is prohibited. Or are you turned down because you aren't registered as owning a firearm in that caliber. A slippery slope indeed and I have to believe that was all part on the plan.

You can see the ammo bill that was passed here. http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/fa...01520160SB1235

    You can thank the Demoncrates.
