I know you guys who have been here forever probably know just what this lake is, but for the newer guys it does not mean anything.

Hope I get better with these kind of posts over time.

The question is like saying, "How hot is it? Where? At what time?

The answer to the question is that the grass and algae are growing like weeds with the long days and high heat. Will continue until the cool weather brings relief.

The answer is this... the grass inside of 7 ft is thick in alot of areas.. some areas that the lake blue stoned has the grass dying so it's more broken up... then between 8-14 ft the stringy grass is patchy and broken up.. the best vegetation to fish is the hydrilla fields in 17-20 ft. The bass love the hydrilla and to find them all it takes is knowin how to read your fishfinder properly.. you'll see tall stalks of hydrilla coming up 6-8 ft off the bottom out in the mid range depths between 16+22ft.. The deep hydrilla is gold... Find it and you'll prosper!!!
The algae bloom is just slight... The water color is great especially for August.
    Good luck!!
