headed out to sarl for the first time in quite awhile to try for some cats. showed up about 8:45 saturday night and fished till about 7:30 sunday morning. first spot was the boat docks for nada tried flyline crawlers and shrimp and carolina rig with marshmallow at different depths. next was chris's pond for 2 bites that were immediately dropped one hit one crawler and marshmallow and the other was shrimp soaked in liver with marshmallow stayed at that spot for another hour for no more hits. hit several other spots through out the night for not even a nibble.

using about a 12 inch leader on the carolina rig with 1/4 and 3/16 oz weights. didnt see anyone else catch anything personally but rumor has it an inflated crawler with a 3-4 foot leader was getting some action. can anyone confirm? if anyone could give some updated tips or tricks for this lake that would be awesome.

2 years ago we killed em, last year we averaged 1-2 per trip and skunk for the 1 trip this year so far. definitely not liking this trend. hopefully my info is useful to some of you out there and wish everyone the best of luck out there

P.s. saw several big schools of decent sized tilapia cruising the surface near the boat dock in the am but i didnt put effort in targeting them after being up all night.
