SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) --
A 19-year-old San Bernardino man was stabbed to death and two people were wounded early Sunday morning at Seccombe Lake Park, police said.

Police were sent to the park at 1 a.m. on a report of a stabbing. They found three people - one female, two males - suffering from stab wounds.







Angel Valdivia, 19, of San Bernardino, was transported to a local hospital with stab wounds and later died, police said. The two other stabbing victims are expected to recover.

Police say the crime scene was in the 500 block of Sierra Way and early evidence indicates a drug or alcohol-related motive.

They asked anyone with information to contact police at (909)384-5630 or (909)384-5615.

No surprise knowing the neighborhood, my auto repair guy is across the street from the park and the stories he can tell. Car wash to be announced soon, flowers, candles and teddy bears will mark the spot. Besides the drug deals it is tent city for the homeless, no place you would want to fish.

The sun rises across a sparkling lake, the smell of campfires as the bacon fries, the whistle of the widgeons wings as they settle onto the undisturbed silence of the water, truly a sight to behold. A bit of wild wilderness in the big city.
