Default Colorado River May 16 - 20. Not too shabby!

Lots of wind from around noon to 6 each day, with sustained 20 mph the first two days I was there, so not many hours on the water this trip. Maybe about 2 or 3 per day. Post spawn so finding them was more difficult than I thought it would be and it really is about seeing how they react to your bait at this time of year. Wind doesn't help that!once again the 3 inch pumpkin curly tail grub on a 1/4" roadrunner jug head was the best bet, They didn't like the blade so I cut them off and had better luck:

that's a good day if only 3-4 hrs on the water. Going to fish there after Monday, will be fishing the river from the I10 bridge going south, on a pontoon boat.
