    Default After the baloon fest

Only 6 or 7 boats out this morning and water is down a couple feet. 70* +- and starting to color up a bit. Stripers are still absent. Metered all over the place and found no bait schools or pods of fish. Trolled all the normal and then secondary spots. Nada. I stopped periodically to fish some good looking tullies for LMB. Slow there too, but finally stuck a 4 pound jig-pig. Overall kinda disappointing considering the last few days were closed to boating. Guess the incoming front and full moon affected the bite. Stripers are another matter. Almost 3 weeks now with virtually no action. Maybe they are spawning by the dam?

Rumor has it that the county is going to change the name of lake skinner to lake skunker lol
