    Default Lincoln Park Derby

Got here early morning, only one side of the lake was hitting like crazy. Once we moved over, there were plenty of fish to go around. The fishing got to crazy with people casting over each other so we called it quits after about 8 catfish were caught by my kiddos. Here is a picture of some of the beasts we caught.

Realizing that this is a fishing derby with extra stocking....what do lakes like this look like during the week?

They're pretty quiet to tell you the truth, at least Lincoln Park is.

You won't see many fisherman if there hasn't been any stocking activity.

Was wondering if most had a native population of bluegill or redear. The wheel chair access might make it attractive if there were.

Quik recon for a skunk! Actual stock was Friday and derby was Saturday. This is a nice small lake with Clearwater and few bass.
Only dead fish and turtles on the shore line. At least if you go enjoy the day, grab a bite from Dino's burger Around the corner. The best dive spot in all of this area. Any cop/lawyer/locals and homies can all sit at the same table and be equal. No frills type of joint but the best damn breakfast and burgers in town. If anyone act stupid George the owner will throw your *** out no matter how much money you make

They have a population, albeit not what it was a decade ago when you were guaranteed a bucketful of fish in an hour if you had the right worm and bobber.

Nowadays, you have to "work" for them.

It was pretty decent before some genius decided to bluestone the lake a couple years ago.

I remember Lincoln being like that over 10 years ago for bluegill...its nothing like it used to be. People keep dumping all kinds of wierd stuff in there like big bullfrogs...arawanas, even an alligator gar a couple of years ago. Im surprised theres no snakehead or quaga mussels in there.
