I was out there last weekend invading the wild trout section on the Kern.

Was surprised to see that French Gulch is almost back in business. Well, almost....

I think you can say that about a lot of fisheries..

    Lemme help:

Castaic used to be known for good bass fishing.

Silverwood used to be known for good brown trout fishing.

Perris used to be known for good spotted bass fishing.

    etc, etc, etc.....

Shadows still loom of Del West at Silverwood. He was going to be sure it was a better fishing hole than Crowley ... and it would have been a lot closer for most folks.

Don't forget how great DVL was on trout. Have any of the brownies survived?

The Brownies at DVL are a very good question. I rarely seen any mention of them been caught in any publication. Yet thousands of dollars a year are still being spent on them. Sounds like another high speed train adventure. Money being spent on a train to nowhere!!!!
