Lake Cachuma Weekend of 3/26-3/27

Hey Guys,

It was Spring break so I headed home to get some fishing in so I decided to rent a boat at Cachuma. The trout from the trout plant are not active yet. I trolled Rapalas for like 3-4 hours by the buoy line. Some other boats out there were trolling as well with no success.

However, The bass bite was off the charts. I fished the rocky points on the north end of the lake and picked up around 30 bass in 4 hours of fishing. I was throwing a dropshot along the bank and catching fish two feet or so off the bank. All of them were prespawn large and smallmouth.
